Who we are
WIANEK is the duo of Klaudia Wójcik and Michał Burek, reinterpreting Polish folk songs in a melodic-electro and house idiom. We rework traditional melodies from Kurpie, Podhale, Podlasie and Mazovia from the ground up – with respect for the source, but with a club aesthetic.
We play live sets in which old songs meet pulsing electronics and a hypnotic groove, leading the crowd into a trance with a Slavic, earthy, tectonic character. Bouncy, danceable, at moments dark, melancholic.
